I was out in the warehouse taking the brush hog off of the tractor and got stung right on the hand by a red wasp. Hurt too. I ran in screaming and crying all the way. What? Just kidding, but it did hurt. So I decided to take a break, although I have done absolutely nothing today but get stung, and I will come back for it in a little while when the wasps settle down and I can find the nest and kill kill kill them buggers.

I have an abundance of wasps this year too. I am allergic to bees so it's kinda annoying to have them around. I'll be knocking the nests down tonight after I drop the kids at the airport.
hey, so i am ordering chicks from BC next spring, coration sussex, light sussex, and maybe some blue orps, or BLRW , buliding tractors for breeder pens this summer, for next year. Yikes! i am selling most of my bantam flock this year (Expact , Brahmas , and chantieclers) to make room for my standereds
Well the chicken coop is all cleaned out and the hens are all ticked off. I just back the tractor up to the door with the dirt bucket attached and shovel every thing into the dirt bucket and then take it to the compost pile. Easy peasy.
Hand swole up a little bit from the wasp sting but no big deal so far.
I hate rain, I hate rain, I Hhhaaaattteeee rain!!! Ugh! I went to go feed the horses and I got stuck in some really deep mud! I had to take off my boots and walk barefoot the rest of the way......

My horse is the cleanliest horse you ever met. If he was human, he would be OCD about everything being clean. He hates mud, rain, anything that messes up his fur. Step in mud? Never. So I spent the weekend trying to walk him through a creek. A big, ole swampy creek. And it was muddy. I had no idea how far horses could jump. I'm lucky the ranch doesn't get too muddy, or I'd be in the same position as you, Sassy.
