Taking my pony to the beach the other day, was my second time ever, with my own trailer and own horse.
I'd never had a horse trailer all these years. Then my sister gave me her old one when she moved. My previous horse Rosie, well, I had a time with her, trying to train her and stuff. My sister would help, but I just couldn't do it.
Most of the time I always rode my horse where ever I wanted to go. I would ride to the beach, ride into town for the horse parade/rodeo.
On rare occasion, I would get trailered into town or beach.
So then I got Rosie and a trailer. My sister trailer broke her, and I practiced loading and unloading her over 100 times! Last summer when I got off school work, DH took me to the beach. It was my first time EVER going with my own stuff and my DH. I was so happy, until, Rosie would not load back up at the beach for nothing! DH and I tried for 3 hours, until I finally had to call for help from this guy.
He tried to load her but she wouldn't go. So him and DH had to do the clasp hands behind her rear thing and lift her in while I pulled on the front. I was devastated, not a good first experience at all. I wanted to cry!! Next day, in my yrad, she loaded ina nd out just fine, grrrr
But I was not brave enough to take her to beach again. And I had a difficult time with Rosie. She needed a lot of training and it was hard for me. So last September I traded her for my pony, the cutest ever pony, he's so darn cute! He requires a somewhat experienced rider, but he is great, and he's giving me confidence. I loaded him into trailer, and DH took us to the store, well on the way home, vehicle tried to overheat. waaa waaa waa. So it took several months, but DH finally got vehicle fixed couple weeks ago, and WE DID IT! Went to the beach with my own stuff for the second time, and it was so fun!! DH took videos too.
Yesterday said, ok, I'm ready for an evening ride at the beach. Well, we didn't get to go, but he knows I'm going to be asking a lot!! I am not brave enough yet to haul myself, but I will learn.

And that was suppose to be a short story!

Hey everyone! I'm back from bluebayou waterpark.

I am so sore! But it was fun!! My favorite ride there was the voodoo. It was HUGE! You got on a raft for 4 people, and then you go through this tunnel. And it's all black inside, you can't see anything!! So we are riding and then we go down this super steep slide! And then you go around and around really fast until you come out the exit. It was fun and scary! Then I went in this wave pool, and I was just sitting down, relaxing, and this huge wave comes up and pushes me into the side....I got a bad cut on my leg.

The lines to the rides were LONG!! I'm so tired. I wanna go back soon.

With all this talk of incubators and chicks... I really want some chicks!!! I'm wanting a kitten, a foal, some chicks... Anything!

Hey boo, I just read your story about going to the beach and congrats!
It's always great when you hit those milestones with your horse, isn't it? I'm working on getting the baby horse, Ranger, to walk along a busy road without spooking.

I want a foal too. So bad. They are so fun to train. IMO.

Yes they are. And they're your friend for life if you keep them.
