...Scary.

Boo, do you know the model? I love older sewing machines. My mother still has one her mother got for her when she went to college. Works like a dream, too. She got a new one with a fancy LCD screen, though, so I'm the only one who ever uses it. I've also got a viking or something of the sort. Then of course, I'm looking to add a really old one with a pedal. There are two old machines I've always wanted... A typewriter and a pedal sewing machine.

Maggie, My machine is a Singer 348. I do not think that it is super old, I'm going to have to ask when she got it. But it is heavy, not super heavy though. Man, its throttle is touchy! It jams so fast. I've only sewed a couple little things on it so far. I just got it Thursday. And I have to get use to the speed it has. ha ha So far I have sewed the pockets on my apron that I started before I got it, and just this morning I made another bandana scarf hat thing for work. You can adjust the position of the needle on it, right, center or left. First time I had a machine that did that. Thats a cool option. MIL says she has to find the attachments that go with it, so someday I will get those too. I think they are embroidery things. I hope she finds the book that goes with it too.

My baby girl Tejas died today. I think it was the heat but she's been off for a month or two now. Been having trouble laying, I think, since she'd spend hours on the nest.

I want to know when I'll stop being sad.
But hey, I have room for MPC's minimum order now.

I miss her. She was so sweet.
The ants ate her eyes before I got to her.

It was terrible.

Here's the topic I posted about it: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=4680271#p4680271
I
don't know why she died, and I'd like to figure it out so that I can prevent it in the future.

WOW! For years now I've ordered my chicks. But now with all the bator excitement going on I just might fire my bator up again. It's been years sense I've done some hatching, maybe I'll see what the girls have to offer.
Here at the homestead it's kinda busy and I never thought I'd have the time to hatch, lets load it up and see what happens.

No. Debi, are you okay?

Me yes. I am ok. My best friends hubby, however, has about 2 months left to live and it is messing with my head. I have never had to go through something like this before and I can say definitively, I never want to again.

for him. That's a terrible thing to happen. He must be very loved.

He is loved. Soooo many people are going to miss him terribly. They are going to Puerta Vallarta next week, and hopefully he will still be able to walk around. 55 is young to be going through this.

Not seeing it with them?

I got to admit, I didn't get half the references because I never watched any of the twilight movies...

My cat is being put down today at 3. It's time.
