Frist time chicken owner

Well hello, I guess I will start off with my name, my name is Brandon. I am 23 years old. I started to raise chickens because when i had a fresh egg from my father in law it was the best egg. And i also started it because i have 3 kids and one on the way so i figured it will be a great thing for them to have. I started with 7 chickens that I got for 10.00 they were from 1 week old to 3 weeks old. I accidentally got a guinna and named him king Kong but he died shortly after. the chicks are now almost 10 weeks old. I now gotten 3 more black australorp chickens and i have 3 buff pullets on the way.....not by chose it what my father law has and he wants me to have them .Well it’s nice to be part of this website I learned a lot about chickens so far. So what next pictures!!!!

I know the chicken run looks like garbage but all the wood was left over and it only cost me 30.00 to build everything including the coop.

we have our girls for the reason of having fresh eggs....our chicks are 8 weeks old so we hoping to have eggs in a couple months. good luck to you
