Frizzle,...any breed, pure or mixed.

I remember when I was 13 and first joined BYC I was one of the very few members that really liked and bred Frizzles. I am 19 now and it seems you can find frizzles anywhere on the site now. They are by far my favorite in any breed but particularly Cochins in Bantam or Standard. Its just so cool how so many more members have frizzles now and how everyone seems to want some. When I first joined BYC I was having to get pics to show members what a frizzle was and now I get emails and pms about frizzles from members and its great that alot of other members that have been around like me refer people to me for my input. Its just cool to see how everyone has really turned onto this breed and watch its popularity grow over the years. sadly I dont have any frizzles right now, I am on the search as we speak! But soon, very soon, I can feel it. LOL!

So who else likes and/or breeds frizzles? Of any breed, bantam or standard, pure or mixed. And by all means, any pics are welcome so we can see what awesome birds everyone has.

I LOVE Fizzles! I got my first one last year at a lifestock sale. Dustmop, he was my first roo of the breed too. Now I buy everyone I get the chance to. Recently just hatchen my first fizzle, BLRW cross eggs. And also got a new mottled cochin hen for Dustmop and a tiny banty BLRW roo for my little brown fizzle hen. I just think Fizzles are so beautiful, alot of fokes don't but to me they are just great.

I would love to have some standard sized ones exspecially from cochins but I have not been able to find any.

I LOVE FRIZZLE COCHIN BANTAMS!!! Casey, I got a white frizzle cochin from McMurray hatchery a little while back. It turned out to be a rooster, but he is beautiful!!! I'll get some pictures tomorrow. I also got a red frizzled hen, but the white is my favorite color so far. I think it's because they look so fluffy and clean when their white (if you can keep them white) lol. I am so excited because I'll be getting a hatch from a variety of colored hens, and a black frizzled rooster this tuesday. I'll post pictures tomorrow or monday.

I have mixed frizzle polish x with either a silkie or a RIR dominique roo. They are due June 14th. I live 30 min south of Bloomington In. Also we are having a southern IN chickenstock June 7th if you could make it there. Someone is bringing frizzle cochins. Let me know.

AWESOME! I wished I could find some good White Frizzles. Thats the only color I am going to breed for now. Got eggs coming next week so hoping I get something from them. You can check out the link under my name for pics of my birds. I will try and post pics soon.


I would love to come seeing as I am not that far, but with gas prices I am not sure I could make it.

My white frizzled hen (frizz) looks just like the hen in your avatar. The rooster doesn't look quite as frizzled as my hen, but he is still very young.

my 10 eggs are all supposed to be white. I think the ones at the swap are black.

I am expecting some eggs this coming week. Hopefully I can get some to hatch so I can get some frizzles!

I was sent 3 bantam cochin eggs as a surprise along with the other eggs I had ordered,,,,I hatched 2 and one is frizzled the other not. The frizzled one so far is turning out to be pretty curly but not the curly of the double frizzle mating,,it looks like a nice bird. I think they are blue and splash or blue and blue,,,lol,,, they keep changing colors as they grow,,,,,I think they are about 6 weeks now and they look like they will be very pretty. They even have feather growth on their inside toe.

Hopefully I can get pics of them soon. I have 2 excellent pair of black bantam cochins so if these turn out blue I should be able to breed some really nice ones. I too love the whiteness of the white ones.

I know someone in Luck, WI who has straight and frizzled white cochin bantams and they show quite a bit. Their birds ussually sell for 20-50 a piece. They dont sell chicks.
