So i picked up this little girl ( hopefully girl!) at the feed store about a week and a half ago...

I am new to chickens and confused, is frizzle a breed or just a type of feathering?

Thanks!! and hopefully I got this pic up here...

i'm really not sure. She was the only one in bin with feather legs though, Not sure if that helps? Any breed guesses would be welcome too!

Frizzled is a type of feathering. Any breed can carry it. That looks to be a frizzled cochin, from the amount of comb it has at such a young age, I agree it is most likely a male.

Yes, that's a frizzled Cochin. It's just a type of feathering. The way the feathers curl like that make it "frizzled." Most any breed can be frizzled. It is important not to breed a frizzle to another frizzle, as that really messes up the feathers AND I believe it creates a lethal gene so they don't fair well (they die).
