Frizzle breeding question

Ok sorry if I sound dumb, I'm very knew to this
I'd like to breed lavender pekin frizzles
I love the look of these hens, the temperament sound lovely
And the cockerels sell which is a bonus


BUT
I don't really understand the breeding bit!

If I bought a lavender pekin frizzle cockerel ( I actually don't understand the pekin bit either)
Can they be pekin frizzles and just frizzles or are they all Pekins?

So I have my cockerel
Then if I buy some frizzle hens from another breeder can I then let them mate?
At what ages am I looking for?

I found a beautiful cockerel

He is 3 month old and costs £5

If I mate frizzle with frizzle will all the chicks be frizzles?

yes they will be, they will be double frizzles. this isn't a good thing, for some genetic reason they have shorter life expectancys, often have heart/ other internal organ problems and failures which lead to death. if you want frizzles then you need a smooth coated boy and frizzle hens or smooth coated hens and a frizzled boy, this way not everything will be frizzled but there will be less health problems. frizzle usually just refers to the curled feathers so it would be a frizzled what ever. some people spend years to create pure frizzles ( 5 generations is considered pure)

Glad I asked
I couldn't understand why breeders chicks were a mix of frizzle and flat
I know look is important but I'm not looking for a show quality breed
I'm looking for a children friendly, quirky more pet than anything type breed
Maybe frizzle isn't the right type to go for then

Their feathering whether it be flat or frizzled has nothing to do with how child friendly they are . Perkins silkies etc are good with children. Same with heavy breeds. Its all about how much time and effort you put In to them and how calm you are

Oh that should be good for me then I seem to have a calming effect on most living things
Babies fall asleep on me
My chicks love relaxing on meI worked with teenagers that couldn't be taught in main school because of behaviour
So I think I have a natural calming influence
