Frizzle chick with sore bottom - Pics

Dang I seem to be getting bashed pretty good here. First off These chick where hatched by 2 very b tchie hens that where in the same pen together. so they are used to being outside . They where hatched between 1/4 & 1/5 . Some how i must have missed him because I thought I had checked everybody good. Sorry I am human. I will be glad to come and pick them all up & refund your money. I gave you the other 3 because first I was trying to be nice, how bad of me & second I did not want one hen freaking out while the other one had her babies. AND at last I have never sold anything before but on here they say not to breed frizzles with other frizzles. I have 1 male NN & 1 very small hen that are frizzled . My rooster gets around very well being that most of the chicks I brought with me where frizzles. My chicks road inside my truck ,all had been feed & watered before I left home & I was only there for a hour . So I don't think they where abused. It was the first time I had went to a swap & the last .I'll keep all my babies to myself from now on.

WritetoCaroline, it's very normal for chicks to get pasty butt...the puffyness of them is not so normal. Did you check the temp in the brooder? If you put olive oil on the vent this will help from any new poo getting stuck on the feathers (do this at least twice a day). They look pretty young but getting to the point where you shouldn't have to worry about pasty butt anymore. Good luck with them and I hope they all make it. Sometimes it's just hard for babies to travel no matter if they are healthy or not.

BabyRiver: I want to be clear and state:

A) I did not bash you.
B) I have a concern about this little Frizzle chick. I want him to be healthy and this was something I never dealt with before.
C) I appreciate you posted. I am not looking to return the chick or get a refund. I just want the little baby to get well and I had no way to contact you. I did not know what your "BYC" name was nor did I attempt to identify you as the person selling the chick. You were anonymous.
D) Stating how I received the chick is important as far as trying to figure out if they were sick. It was very cold and I want to do my best by them.
E) I am sorry if you feel bad and made to feel as if you did something wrong.
F) I would not have purchased the chicks if I felt the chicks were ill cared for or sick. I admitted in that earlier post that I should have looked closer myself but the little phoenix was jumping out of the box.
G) This is about the little frizzle chick and it was never my intention to hurt your feelings or make you feel like you cannot go to a chicken swap in the future. I feel badly that you feel abused. In my earlier post I did say that you were a nice lady. You didn't state why you didn't want the other chicks and I did not ask.

As an update: The Frizzle baby is much better today. It had no poop stuck and is eating with gusto and drinking as are the other chicks. None of them look puffed up today. The temp is 83 degrees. They seem happy and content
