Thank you for ALL your help!!! It's much appreciated! I have let them out with my 3 regular hens that are 4 months old. A jersey, brahma, and a favorelle. They white one chased my jersey, caught her, and hung on to her feathers till she pulled 2 out at one time. They wouldn't leave my girls alone so I locked them back up. Now they are sparring with each other. I was hoping one was a rooster and the other a hen and just keep them for pets. Now I'm worried about them hurting one another and don't know what to do. I have another rooster so I wanted to keep these two separate. Thanks again.
That's just normal horny cockerel behavior. The girls are too young, but the boys don't care.
Keep them separate and things should be fine. Again, they mar spar some, especially after being exposed to pullets. But it shouldn't be knock down drag out. More like brothers wrestling or something. They've got to blow off steam somehow.
Or maybe that's just carry over from my personal life--I've been trapped in the house with three teenage boys over winter break and now two snow days. Talk about needing to blow off steam!
