Hi newbie here. Two weeks ago I got 3 chicks from a black frizzle mom and a booted bantam dad (which I did not see). I have here picture of momma and chicks and then a picture of all 3 chicks just this week. I am most certain top left is roo. The others? And it seems the two that are black frizzle have pea combs and the barred looking one has a single. And if you have a guess on "true" breed of parents, would love to hear your input!

Oh and a couple more because it's fun!

From the top photo, I am seeing roo top right, roo bottom right (that's a pretty developed pea comb with 3 pea rows), and then a pullet right photo.

Anyway, that's what I'm seeing.

EDITED TO SAY....

I meant to say roo top left, roo bottom left, and pullet right on the top photo.

Geesh...talk about can't tell right from left, top from bottom...anyway I think you get what I mean.

Yes I gotcha ;)
Just a little disappointed was hoping for 3 pullets.
She did say if I ended up w Roos to give her a call...
But now I am attached :love
On the other hand I am afraid the Roos will fight,
I only have 10 hens and I don't really don't want to go more than that

How old are they? My pea comb frizzle hen was guessed repeatably a boy and my single boy a girl. So they can be tricky :)

I'd guess age to be between 3 and 4 weeks.

With your 10 hens, do you currently have ANY roos? If not, then two roosters with 10 hens will be absolutely fine. They can probably even deal with 3 roos, but I wouldn't go above that. They won't fight, per se, they will just have to establish a place in the pecking order, and go from there.

When I got them I was told they were 3 weeks, so that would make them closer to 6 weeks. The one with the more developed comb has started to crow, which is hysterical by the way.
With my 10 no Roo...so this is my first.
