Frizzle Thread ~ PICS ~~ Must Read Info On Page 4!!!

I am just getting started with frizzles. I bought two hens who were in very bad shape and after a bath they ended up looking like frazzles. One is a blue cochin and the other is a black cochin silkie cross. Right now while they regrow their missing feathers and get settled in their new home I have them with a young henpecked partridge silkie rooster. I got a third frizzled bird that is either a cochin or a cochin silkie cross that was sold as a hen but I was told by people who bred cochin that it was a cockeral. He was also advertised as blue but is actually partridge.

^ This was sold to me as a blue sizzle hen...I am fairly sure it is actually a partridge frizzled cochin rooster. Oh well at least he is friendly.

^ My partridge silkie rooster. The future husband for my frazzled girls.

^ This poor girl was sold as a blue frizzle cochin but I think she is a frazzle. Her nails are horribly overgrown and before her bath all her feather were caked together with filth.

^ This girl was from the same seller as the last and I think she is a frazzle too. The seller told me to buy a frizzle to breed with them if I wanted a higher number of frizzle babies. Her nails aren't as bad as the other hen but she has less feathers left. She is a silkie cochin cross and has a purple comb.

I was given this little hen as a "freebie" when buying fertile eggs from a local farmer. When I asked the breed, all he knew was Frizzle. Her poufy behind looks like my Silkies, but the rest looks more Cochin maybe? Any ideas? She was in bad shape when I got her, but she's filling out. She's tiny, and very talkative!
