ok i am have a little trouble with my snow white who i though was a regular silkie until all the sudden she got curly! I have a buff and blue a black and a porcelain sizzle's but now I am at a loss what is snow white???

Hi! I went to buy some ducks this weekend and came home with 4 Bantams. 3 hens and our new too Zappa!

We are newbies to having birds and so far only have/researched standards. I know absolutely nothing about bantams and definitely nothing about Frizzles but he was the funniest little guy ever and is my husband's new favorite! He's only six months old and I can't wait to see him all filled out. I've been trying to figure out the breeds we got. Two girls are silver spangled Hamburgs but Zappa and this girl

still have me at a loss.
Apparently they came together from the hatchery. Anyone have any ideas? It doesn't really matter but if I can I'd love to find out.

I was pretty worried about my silkies and frizzles this winter. I put a double layer of cardboard on the inside of the coop to insulate. I have no added heat except for the water bowl I have in there for them. They have done great!!! I am so relieved. In fact, 2 of my youngest silkies are sitting eggs already!!

I do not use heat lamps because I am scared of fire!! I love my chickens half of them are in jail

We are just looking to see if maybe anyone in here knows if this little baby is a frizzle! We just hatched 5 Tolbunt Polish chickens and the lady that shipped them has frizzle roo to smooth hens, and frizzled hens with a smooth roo. This is our first go around with frizzles so I'm not exactly sure if what I'm seeing is "frizzle" or something different. Pictures are so hard to get...I feel like it doesn't "capture" the wings like I'm seeing them lol...the best way I can describe it is the first chick's wings lay flat against it's body...the "maybe frizzle" chick's wings seem to be off...like they have a tiny curl outwards....or it might be wishful thinking lol (well it flipped the pics so the first one is the one I think is a frizzle...second one I believe is smooth) They hatched a week ago
