Introducing my first frizzle offspring (just found out momma is a EE/silkie) im assuming the hairy head came from the silkie liniage but I love frizzles they have the best personalities!

Is it frowned upon in the friizle world to breed frizzled bantam Cochin to smooth standard Cochin??
I don't know about showing a bird that half Banty half standard, but I know that you have to breed frizzle to smooth unless you want bald babies. A double frizzle gene makes the feather brittle and they all fall out leaving you will some really funky looking birds.

no interest in showing. I don't want to hatch out chickens nobody wants. I keep most but sell off enough to cover expenses. Yes I am aware of the double frizzle gene. Its amazing how many people don't. Thanks for helping spread the word

Personally, I'm not picky about size conformation either, but I'm guessing that most buyers would prefer bantam or standard, not something in between. Mine is a total amateur opinion though...
