Frizzled Bantam Cochin cockerel?

I have a frizzled Bantam Cochin who I believe is a cockerel. He's between 4 and 6 months old. Now that I think about it he's just over 5 months actually.

This evening when I was out putting the flock up and was talking to to my dad afterwards. He asked if I was sure if he really was a cockerel since he hasn't done anything cockerel like yet.
Now I want some more people to give their opinion on the gender.

I think so too! He's just not very masculine then. He hasn't tried to breed any of the pullets or anything! I hope he keeps his cool head.

Thank you! He's still a good boy and I hope he stays that way. He'll let me pick him up if needed and doesn't make a big fuss about it like any other cockerel I've ever had, still not sexually active and he's pretty!

If 5 months I'd say pullet getting ready to lay. I've never had a bantam Cochin not show he's a rooster at a young age.

I'd say he's a cockerel now! He mounted one of the older Bantam pullets late yesterday.

Does his comb seem small for his breed?

That's certainly surprises me, but I was on the fence. His comb is a bit smaller and not as red for his age. Most of my bantam Cochin roosters are feisty trouble makers. He also looks a bit sparse for a frizzle and I wonder if he's a frazzle. I guess you will find out if he loses his feathers through the season. He's a cute little guy.
