Not trying to say anything negative is going to happen, but Orchid does the same thing to me. He follows me around and when I turn around to look at what he's doing, he just stands there staring off in the distance like he totally wasn't following me. He's definitely not following me out of friendliness, so I would suggest paying attention to Snape.I need to get a video of it. Professor Snape has been following me closely lately. Like if I am walking around he will run up when I'm not looking, but when I see him he will start pecking the ground. I hope he isn't gonna attack bc I will lovingly shove his face in the dirt real quick.
As for Captain Hook, my neighbor's roo and my adopted baby, he coos at me, then prances towards me with his head lowered. Like a little cha cha side step dance. It's honestly cute. But same for Hook. He tries to attack? Face full of dirt. With love of course.
If a rooster is wing-dancing at you, that is a clear sign of aggression. There is only one exception to this, and that is when the rooster is very cuddly with you. If he loves you a lot and he wing-dances at you, then that's affection. If not, then that's definitely the opposite of affection. I hear my males do what I have named the "courtship purr" before they attempt to mount a hen and wing-dance at her. I have heard over-friendly roosters do the courtship purr to their owner.
