No. I crush eggshell and sprinkle it though. Should I get some anyways?
Yep! Something about the larger size of the oyster shell sticking around longer for when they need it. It's cheap, I just keep a little bowl of it in each coop and top them off as needed. The one coop lI have a little bowl attached to the run, they like to pull all the oyster shell out and spread it all over. It's what they do :confused:

They like to decorate with their food shell
 
Yall. Can someone tell Olivia this is not how eggs are supposed to look like? I think she had a brain fart.
They all lay strange eggs when they begin to lay. Does anyone remember the egg one of my newly-laying Easter Egger pullets had, that was super dark green, tiny, and had an egg inside of it?

That is cool! I didn't know you had joined around that time.

I don't know if the egg was laid the same time as me joining, or if I saw it much later, or if I'm just dumb and it was more recently laid, but yes, I definitely remember the egg! So pretty, looks like a crystal!
