How is everyone doing this morning? It's currently snowing and sleeting out. I don't know how the chickens are but I doubt they will want be let out of their pens.

Thankfully this will be a warmer week for us, barely dropping below 10°C on the coldest days. I'm sure the birds are looking forward to it after some 4°C nights the previous week
 
I do....except my surprise rooster this year. Poor dude is frosted so will loose his points.
Oh no! I'm sorry. I have all kinds of different breeds. I have seen a lot of articles saying that Welsummers are a cold hardy breed but one of mine, Pecan, died from the cold temperatures about a week ago. I guess it depends on the individual.

I am so sorry. It's hard to know in advance as each is an individual.

I try for smaller combed heavily feathered breeds. Poor Quin was an oopster and has a massive comb and wattle set.
