What about giving her a hen and a rooster? She will obviously need more girls, but it would be a lot easier to add some girls on later than making a single girl suffer alone.

That would be fine, I think, to give her 1hen and 1 roo. But I would tell her to keep the roo for a while even after she gets new ones. That one hen will have to make new friends first. She would miss her friend the roo.

Maybe she would be better off with a couple of babies?
