From Ohio

lfoose.....I live in SE Indiana, area code 47223...these poor babies REALLY need homes FAST! She is wanting them back...now that I have them on the road to recovery...and I plan on telling her I have homes for them all.

Hi all! Just joined this site and I'm in Elyria/North Ridgeville. This is our first venture with chickens and I love every minute of it. We have 16 total - Black Stars, Red Stars, Plymouth Rocks, Rhode Island Reds and Araucanas. They are only 6 weeks old and we're learning as we go.

You're right up the road from me. Welcome. I have only had mine about 2 wks now and the list has been very helpful.

Hi all and welcome new comers. I also am in Medina, Litchfield to be exact. I have a variety Barred Rock, RIR, Easter Eggers, Silkies and mixed.
I do have 4 Roo's available for a new home. 3 mixed boys I call Larry, Curly & Moe... would like to keep them together, if possible. 1 RIR x EE Big Boy the all are just a little over a yr old. Email me if interested...
Have a good day!

Hi and nice to "meet" you! Nice to know that there are others around here with chickens. My family thinks we're crazy but we are really enjoying them.

No room now for any extras. We have 16 6-week olds and have yet to build a coop. My BF is going to build it inside the garage so technically two walls are done...

Can't wait to start getting eggs! Do you have them strictly for eggs or do you do meat birds too? I'm thinking about getting some Cornish X hens just to try.

After Sunday I will have 9 hens and one roo. I am going to wait til they all get adjusted ( me too!) before I think about another rooster. I wonder what the ratio of Roos to hens is anyway...

Nice to know there are some locals. All of my kids are strickly for enterment purposes. To be pets. I don't think I could ever take one to slaughter. I am just weak like that. Feel that way about mice even.

None of my hens have even layed eggs yet. In fact the rooster has shown more interest in the nest boxes than they have!

I live in Newark,
work in Zanesville (south)
and have a 100 acre hunting camp in Coshocton.

Nice to meet ya all

Billyroo-had a cat named Billy Ray-is your hunting camp open to the public? If so, do you have any info to send me off list?
