Welcome!  I'm new too and like to see new questions that I haven't seen before.  I won't answer this as so many others have that have a lot more experience than me.  I'm in South Seattle.  Actually SeaTac but don't want to be on this city's radar as they are so persnikity about peoples affairs even though they are legal here.

Hey there I'm so glad to hear someone has chickens not far from me I'm sure there's many but not have seen any. I'm on border line of tukwila and seattle by the Boeing field. My rooster gets up around 5 30 at times, I only have about 4 neighbors around us not too close. We haven't had any complaints so I'm happy about that. Hope to hear more people have chickens around here

I know of one other guy in my area that has hens but that's about it. Mine aren't laying yet so may not until Spring but I hope they do soon (almost 20 weeks). Have you gotten any more eggs now? Roosters are allowed in SeaTac but I really am in too congested of an area to be fair for the neighbors and my husband who is a very light sleeper. The guys behind us have a new baby and the guy next to me works very early in the AM so goes to sleep very early. Of course every house has a dog and some of them bark all day. I know, I work from home and hear it all day long. I always know when my neighbor leaves in the AM gets home because his dog barks the whole time he is gone so a rooster would probably be quieter. LOL

That's nice of you. My rooster is now waking up around 7 so it's fine my neighbor is gone by then, mostly everyone around me is up at 6 and gone. Yes there was an egg today when I checked but I believe she layed it yesterday. I have about 6 in the fridge I've eaten 1 and have 3 separated, going to try and get an incubator and raise for meat. I can't wait until my other pulley starts to lay.
