From squat to first egg...

How long is it from their squat to egg laying?? I have 2 that started squating tonight.. I know its not an exact science but I'm still curious..

My white rock was 8 days and one of my ba it has been 14 days so far so i guess they have a mind of there own!

It was about a week for the four I have who are laying. They all started laying at different ages, but for all of them, it was about a week after I saw the first squat to when they laid their first egg.

I didn't even see the squatting and we got an egg 2 days ago and another this morning!! SO I am hoping that the other 6 like what they see!

My co-chicken adopter, Dena, has had a squatter for 3 weeks & is still eggless.

(we met on craigslist & got chicks at the same time b/c of WA stat law that you must buy a minimum of 6 at a time)

I'm still hoping that her BSL won't lay an egg b/c of all the smacktalk Dena's given me about her chickens laying fibefore mine.

I haven't even gotten a single squat from even one of my 4 girls, who are 22-26 weeks.
