Cat Country, west KY/TN border
Hi, found this site quite by accident and I love it! I'm not new to chicken raising; I grew up in the country and we always had some sort of birds around. One of the most vivid memories was of a very mean Dommer rooster who flogged me on several occasions, but the majority of our chickens were easy to be around. Now that I'm over half a century old (Lord how time flies!) I'm back in the countryside, with horses and dogs and cats and ducks and geese and guinea fowl and chickens again! Currently we have 4 Bantys and over a dozen standard chickens of various breeds (RIR, Barred Rock, White Leghorns, mutts). Our geese just hatched 3 babies and they're adorable (yes I'll get pictures). There are 23 month-old chicks and 4 Araucana chicks about two weeks old. Just started the incubator and hoping for more!

Chickens are such fun!
