We have two cats, a prissy three year old fluff ball female and a 5 year old very large, very male orange tabby.
Both are great with my older girls but naturally showed A LOT of interest when we brought home four chicks 8/9 weeks ago. I've only in the last few days stopped going outside every fifteen minutes to make sure the Orange cat isn't sitting outside their run, staring at them.
Tonight I hear my girly cat hissing from the backyard. I go outside to catch both of my kitties chasing a stranger cat away from the chick garden. They both followed me into said garden and stood sentinel at either end while I checked locks and peeked in on the littles. Both followed me out and then sat either side of the big girl coop while I shut the storm doors on either side (screens are latched but decided to shut the storm doors as well with a stranger nearby.)
Then they both followed me inside for some well earned canned food. It's worth noting these two cats typically fight like siblings and rarely band together over anything! Good kitties!
