From tool shed to Coop?

Pics
The both went back into the new coop precisely on time tonight after their "walk". I had already removed the old Red Barn coop from the property to avoid any confusion.

The next milestone is for them to lay eggs in the Nest Tray.....

Looking real good! I gotta ask did you have a dry red to celebrate?

Why yes, yes I do. A Texas Sangiovese with a blend of 10% Graciano. It's magnificent.

Spoiling them? Try to. I don't want to ever get even close to maximum density with regards to number of hens and square footage. 8 x 10' coop, and we'll have a max of 5 hens in there, along with an 8 x 15' walk-in run I will build in October when the temperatures are more tolerable.

Someone local once told me "happy hens are laying hens."

Where did you source the vent fan/controller? Anything clever? I’m thinking I should do something similar to keep my coop tolerably cool in the afternoon.

Had to turn the heat lamp on this morning, had some chilly chickens (though everything stayed dry)

Here's the Fan Controller link. This same company also makes the fan assembly.

You really do not need that heat lamp.
