I have a beautiful basket on my front door with artificial purple hydrangeas & some small yellow flowers. A pair of Finches were hanging around for several days and to my surprise they must have loved my beautiful basket also. About five days ago when I opened the door one of the Finches flew from the basket. After investigation, I found not only the small nest but 4 eggs. Four, did I say four? Yes, Where did she conceal 4 eggs in that tiny body? Will they all live, silly question, how are you to know that? Guess what I was really asking is this normal for such a small bird to have 4 eggs and what are the chances of all four surviving or do they have that many so that one can live. Would appreciate any comments
