Frontline for Crest Mites - Polish

We have our first outbreak of crest mites in our polish.

I've read that Frontline for dogs works well - but is this the spray, or the green single application tubes?? I have a green tube dose for a large dog at home and I'm hoping I can use that.

Does anyone have the dosage for bantum and large fowl? Thanks!!

Just one drop from the little green tube, applied directly to the top of the crest.
Use either the cat dose or small dog.

I too have polish and feel your pain.

Luck must have been on our side, because we used the wrong stuff (large dog, single dose, in the green tube) & too much (um, 1cc at least

)

But Mr. Roo perked up within a half hour of the dose - he ate again and seemed all back to normal.

We'll get the right stuff, and be more prepared for next time. We also plan to dose all the polish on a regular schedule just to keep it under control.

Hehe, luckily birds are very tolerant. OD'd them many times.

Fipronil is a carcinogen, and stays in their skin up to 6 weeks
I'd find something else to kill the mites
