Frost Warning!

As far as protecting plants in the event of a light frost, spraying them with water after sundown is an effective strategy.

I'm in Buffalo. The weather here is making me batty. I've lived on Long Island or in Queens for 33 years, and now I'm beginning my third year in Buffalo. Living through two winters here has convinced me that Miami-Dade county in Florida will be my final destination. I'm so over this "winter" thing.

AquaEyes: I live south of Buffalo--usually whatever weather they get, so do we, gotta love lake effect. Interesting tip about the plants.

Yeah, the heat is no peach either. I lived in Texas for awhile and sometimes I would have to put the horses in the wash rack, hose them off and put a fan on them---BEFORE they were ridden!! Somedays, I would wait till evening. Now, I am glad we are fire ant-less up here though...
