You could always try hanging a heat lamp in the coup if it is tall enough. It helps to keep the coup warmer which will prevent the frost bite. Hang it in a place where they can all sit under it if they choose, but be sure they can get away from it too.

The lamp worked for my friend when she was having 5 degree temps.
