Frostbite on chickens foot!please help

I used raw honey on Scout's wounds. It has antibacterial properties and enzymes in it that helped tremendously, as did Castor Oil rubbed on the legs down as far as the actual injuries. Castor Oil increases circulation and eases pain.

Any photos?

@Blooie gave good advice on the previous page. If you missed her account of treating frostbite that has blisters, you may find it helpful. I believe that Scout's blisters popped as well. She has good photos and details the treatment she used.

It can take a while for swelling to go down. It's good that the color has gone back to normal. Continue to soak the feet in epsom salts and apply your ointment or honey.

Keep us posted.

Her swelling has gone down a lot and she has wrinkles on the bottom of her foot.i don't know if this has anything to do with it but,one night I put Tylan powder in her water and the next morning it had wrinkles and swelling went down.it had even benn 24 hours and she was already looking better.just thought I would share just in case any body ran into this problem.
