Frostbite!?

This is photos of my mini bantam roosters foot, awhile ago we saw him walking weird picked him up and his foot was completely soild, we held the foot till it moved and thought that was the end of it. Later he started walking weird and then as the days progressed he got worse, we brought him inside a couple days ago bc he refused to walk on his foot, hes seeming more lively now but ive never dealt with frostbite, i dont know if this is even it. He refuses to walk on it i think its hurting him, do i wait for it too fall off then bandage it? What do i do???

Its not frozen anymore he moves it around and it isnt cold

I meant, what are your outdoor temperatures?
Are you sure it was frozen solid? Was he standing in snow?
Can he grip with that foot?

It reaches up to -45 where I'm at but we have a heated indoor coop, we had them in the run walking around this happened and we locked them in the smaller area that's warmer, it was frozen solid, and he hasnt touched snow all winter and he can grip partly not completely and has iusses with it

Celsius? Being able to grip and its warm is a good sign but it may be short term.
How did the foot freeze solid?

Yes Celsius, we don't know it was a colder day he was inside the warmer area but maybe the breeze from the door to the run was too much

Unfortunately, no. The foot with eventually will and fall off. First aid will be useful then.
