(i'm especially worried bout george my rooster)
in spain (barcelona) we get very cold winters some times, and i was wandering if chickens can get frostbite on their combs?

I live in the frosty north- how cold does it get in Spain?

If your birds have a coop for protection they will probably be fine. Some people use vaseline on the combs when worried about the cold.

some people hang a light bulb in the coop for added warmth, we actually hang a heat lamp over the water container, helps keep the water from freezing and adds some warmth to the coop. just be sure the coop has ventilation without being drafty.

On really cold nights sometimes I'll put Bag Balm on my roosters' comes and wattles, it really makes a difference.
