Frostbitten Rooster

We had a cold snap a few days ago and I just noticed my roosters wattle has become swollen and black. His comb has a bit of black but not bad and none of the others have anything. He seems to be eating fine but keeps shaking his head. I feel so bad for him.
We are moving him to the "baby coop" tonight and will be putting vaseline on him but are there any other tips to help him? I've read castor oil would be better than vaseline and that we could crush some aspirin in his water for pain, is that true? Any ideas would be appreciated!

If he has frostbite on it now there is nothing you can do and do not touch it. Let it fall off naturally. No Vaseline or anything.

The damage is done.

Putting anything on it now won't help and can hurt.

The damaged flesh is very delicate and best left to heal on its own.

All you can do is watch fire signs of infection and treat the infection.
