I have a speckled sussex hen that has some frothy white discharge on her eye..

What is it and how do I treat it?

Can you post a pic? It could be anything from worms, mycoplasma infection or Coryza. The latter is what I've dealing with this past 2 months and it started with "bubbles" coming out of their eyes!

Yes...It looks like little bubbles...white...otherwise, she is walking and snacking as usual.

Ok no pics needed then. Is there any bad smell coming from around this chicken's nose? Does she sneeze? Does the eye look swollen and if it is...is there grey tissue swelling from the sides?

Most important get this chicken isolated from the others.

Tell us a little more about this chicken. How Old? Where did you get it from or raise it yourself? Do you live in the country or city? Are there any wild birds that get into chicken feeders?

City dweller, purchased her almost a month ago from a local breeder that I met at the fair, pullet (since she has yet to lay an egg)...seems comfortable otherwise.

hmm what else did you ask?
