My eggs have been frozen when I collect them from my girls. I wondered if they would hatch after being frozen, and then thawed. I know they were frozen especially with temps of -25 to -30 below. So far I have 6 little fuzzy butts from them. All seem to be fine, and running around in the brooder.
Hi I was reading your post about frozen egg and hutching and you described that you have some success. I have question all was well ?My eggs have been frozen when I collect them from my girls. I have hatched eggs before that had gotten cool during the incubation period. They all turned out to be drakes. I read somewhere that you will end up with drakes if this happens. Did you get any hens?I've hatched several eggs that have been frozen when gathered. I let them set inside for a few days, then incubate as usual.
Seem to hatch at a good percentage with good results.
Did you thaw them first? Bring them to room temp? Or just put them in the ready to go incubator? They did hatch, they are hatching now. I set them in my incubator on the 16th, and today they started hatching so far I have 6 little fuzzy butts.
Did you just toss them into the ready incubator? Or did you thaw them and bring to room temp?My eggs have been frozen when I collect them from my girls.
