Depends... When I find eggs that have frozen, cracked and are oozing when thawed I feed them to my dogs. Sometimes if they're just barely cracked and the membrane is still intact I'll use them up for breakfast in the morning. But these are eggs from nice clean nesting boxes! I probably wouldn't eat a cracked floor egg personally but on the otherhand isn't it probably too cold for bacteria to thrive if it was cold enough for the egg to freeze?
Frozen eggs will split. Seeing bacteria aren't actively growing when its freezing, spoiling from being cracked isn't an issue.
Frozen eggs are totally safe if they didn't land in poo. You'll want to use them soon after thawing seeing there's an entry for bacteria to enter the egg.
Frozen eggs that landed in poo aren't trustworthy for human consumption. Cooking them up and feeding them back to the chickens would be a wonderful treat high in protein for them. I wash mine before cooking. I've also given them to my dogs. Seeing they are frozen, anything in the feces won't be able to do much damage. Its just not a risk worth taking.
Some people that end up with frozen eggs (that are clean) store them in the freezer until they use them. They have a runny consistency because the cellular structure is lost, so use them in recipes and for scrambled eggs. If you cook it like an easy over egg, for example, you'll discover the yolk doesn't hold together and the egg will be rubbery.
Cracked and frozen goes to the dog, just frozen and not cracked goes in the 'fridge.
... on the other hand, the last time I gave the dog a cracked egg, she had an upset stomach and I ended up having to give her a bath. So change that to: frozen and cracked goes in the compost. Sugar'll just have the settle for begging cooked eggs from the table.

Isn't Sugar the dog that eats eggs found around the yard? Dogs eat poo and dead animals sometimes. I doubt it was the egg that did it. Probably just a coincidence. Maybe she just ate too many eggs that day.
I agree with One Acre Wonder Farm. I'd feed it to the animals if it was in poo. If it's just barely cracked with the membrane still intact (and NOT in poo), I'd use it right away for scrambled eggs or baking.
I just had to feed over two dozen eggs to my animals, because we went out of town, and our neighbor stored the eggs in our outdoor fridge where they all froze. It took them over 3 days to thaw in our indoor fridge. Some were still slushy when I broke them.

Must be somebody else's dog. My Sugar's a house dog and doesn't go anywhere off-leash. She sure as heck doesn't get into the chicken house.
Thanks for the responses. I'll cook 'em and feed them to the chickens. My daughters thinks that's gross, like the time I fed the chickens the remains of a KFC dinner. They liked it!
I live in Mystic.
I have a flock of 8 Wheaten Marans that starts laying 3 week ago. I have gotten 16 eggs last week and 24 this week. I think 6 out of 8 are laying. All lay dark eggs 5-6 on the color scale, except one that lays eggs that are 3 on the scale with speckles. Most all have been in the nest box with the exception of 4 eggs.
