Thanks everyone for the suggestions and insights!
I have to get a water wiggler and we already have one of those temp things with a long cord on it for outside, I'll just have to find it, haha =] or buy another one.
We normally get shipped eggs so far so it would hard for us to control how they are kept before shipped to us. It might take someone a couple days to get all together to ship so I figured some were just older and further along than the new ones, therefore hatching earlier?
We can let sit in cooler area when we get tho. This last batch we picked up, no shipping and out of 12 only 5 were growing, not a great fertility rate on the roo I guess? We lost one, one hatched early and nothing on the other 3 as of yet. ...bummer!
Can they hatch in a turner? This last one hatched in the turner just fine.
So:
1) humidity 40-45 1-18, 65-70 18-21.
2.) don't open after you put in hatcher, add water to get humidity up for last 3.
I like using the egg carton, seems easier for them especially when the others have hatched and are walking all over the ones who haven't hatched, less chance of them ending up up-side down half way thru.
Thanks again for the insights, its an art for sure!
Best wishes all,
Angela
