They are adjustable to a few inches. You will be ok. I like this patten because it is adjustable. You can safety pin the front nicely if you need to for a growing chick and the elastic has some give.
I'll get you a pic of your bright orange you requested. It's bright. BRB.

These are the new ones. Yours is on the right. It looks brighter in person. The room was a bit dark. You wanted bright I got bright.

The long piece goes along the belly and you put their legs in and pull the elastic up and over the wings and secure it with the adjustable velcro. Those don't have the velcro on them yet. You will get it don't worry. At first it's challenging but it get's really easy. I can't wait to take my cochin to town this spring. She usually rides in the taxi because she'd poo all over but now she can ride with us in the front. Next I'll be making safety seats for chickens.

Hi everyone...

I had a chance to buy two chicken diapers from Tess...BYC lovemychix and they are really, really great!!

I use them with the sandwich bag like she says...and I drop a bounty towel in there and sprinkle some DE and I really don't have a bad smell when i change them..She did a great sewing job on them and I'm very happy since they've been holding up to my Barred Rock girl...she can be a little rough at times...but no spills or accidents...they do the job!!

I have 4 more coming for my Silkies and I can't wait!!

Every once in a while a fella' gets himself to a wondering " What are them folks a thinkin'", and now I would have to think this would be one a them times.
