In the UK it's illegal for minors.
And what about the radiation? Will they send pregnant women through, too?
And why do they discourage the pilots and steward/esses from going through the scanner? Because it's bad for them to be exposed to that much radiation. What about the frequent flyers?

Actually I think they're pretty serious about it. They might actually have a male and female on duty for just that kind of stuff. Pad? I don't know. The other option? Probably no. Bag? Yea, they would check that.
 
I also want to point out that skipping flying isn't an option for everyone. I live in Texas, my family lives in Alaska, without flying it would take me approximately a week to get there, and involve somewhere around 3000-5000 miles of driving and a ferry trip. There are no trains or buses. People in Hawaii couldn't leave without air travel or a long and very expensive boat ride. Business travel from coast to coast would be crippled without air travel, and travel to other countries would be nearly impossible....

As for checking the colostomy bag...partially fill it with fecal matter and form the rest from C4. A friend's relative consistently used a bag to smuggle drugs on airflights, and was never caught.

Even as a frequent flyer, I don't think the radiation is a big deal.
 
I just read that the major Airlines who were in Bancruptcy 3 yr's ago are expected to post record profits this yr exceeding $4 Billion, perhaps the Obama administration is thinking they could charge for this Gov't mandated screening, wouldn't that be just like them.

While this is a serious issue here int he US, this thread has gone beyond family friendly with the suggestiveness and innuendo and vulgarity.
