First off I apologize if this is the wrong section, I don’t know where this sorta thing ought to go. So, I got new chickens recently after all my remaining chickens from my first flock were killed at the same time. (Not really sure by what animal.) Anyway, two of the birds I got were silkies, a black rooster and a white hen.(at least I believe it’s a hen, if it’s not please let me know.) I’ve never had silkies before so I don’t know how to tell I they’re fully grown, nor do I know exactly how old these are because I didn’t raise them. If anyone could give me an idea that would be appreciated. Thanks, God bless.
The roo is missing some feathers due to being picked on by the roosters he used to be kept with.
Here’s a pick of them next to full grown assorted hens for size reference.
I also don’t know what kind of silkie they are. I know there’s bearded and non-bearded, and mine obviously aren’t bearded. But any specifics past that I don’t know. So basically, any help on silkies would be appreciated. Lol
