The last time I got a batch of chicks in the mail (my broody hens hatch all throughout the year, but they usually only hatch 1 or 2) was in April.

Thanks. :) Aww they are fun. I wish I could have my broodys hatch some chicks, but it never is the right time when they go broody. How many chickens do you have? :)

The last chick my broody hen hatched was in early December. His Momma's name was Sacagawea and so we named him Pomp. Here is my most recent picture of him:


Handsome little chap isn't he? I think we will be keeping him (instead of putting in our freezer) because he's very sweet - so far....

Wow that's a lot! We only have 25 including the chicks we just got, but it's looking like a lot of those are roosters. :/ Aww he's gonna be a very handsome boy, he already is! What breed is he? :)
