That's a big looking chick!

My little Cochin mix is going to all by it's lonesome for about 4 days.

The other egg had stopped developing after the first week.

The result of a thermometer reading hotter than it actually was!! I'm surprised the one egg actually hatched. I've 10 EE eggs & 1 duck egg due the 27th. They appear to be viable. Hope my little Cochin has company soon.

Well I woke up this morning and the temp in the incubator was 92

I tried to get it to go up, but did not want to mess with it to much since I won't be home till this afternoon and I don't want to fry them.

Since my little Cochin is all alone in the Brooder box, I gave him/her a companion. Has taken to sleeping of the teddy bear. Did this once before when I had a single Showgirl. Seems to help them not to be so lonely. I've since given the chick a washing to get some of the hatching crud off it's back n bottom.
