take it carefully apart and don't forget to remove the battery. Let it air dry for a couple days and it will be fine. There was something I read very recently that said to do that. Google it. All is not lost.

You shouldn't have tried to turn it back on!

Take out the battery and open the phone. Put it in a ziplock baggie with a couple of those silica gel packets you find in shoes & stuff that you've bought. Zip it closed and leave it alone for 2 days (pretend its a bator on hatch day).

We've done this for 3 different phones AND an iPod. I never EVER throw away those little silica packs any more!! And neither do my teens

(it was never MY phone that got zapped)

Youngest had her phone got through a full cycle of the washing machine and it works just fine except the camera pics are a little fuzzy around the edges.

This will make you feel better:

I am working on a customer's laptop computer. She spilled a lemon-drop martini all over the keyboard. The computer was on when it happened, and stopped working before she could turn it off. My guess is the computer it is a goner. But , we are going to try to save it anyway.

As others have mentioned, your phone will probably be fine if you let it dry out for a few days.

Good luck!
