What about their pinkish bills that’s usually a sign of white layers or do you think nutritional?
I thought they looked pale. The guy that brought them raises chickens ducks and pigeons. So I’m sure they don’t get all the attention, sun and stuff they’d need. My ducks are spoiled so these looked so small and pale compared to mine. Idk I’m hoping they’re healthy.Hard to tell, I don't know if sexing by bill color will be that accurate, the reason being they look pretty pathetic, not sure if they have seen sunlight much, but exposure to the sun can affect the color of their bill.
Once they are fully grown you can weigh them, White Layers weigh between 4.5 - 5.75 pounds, while Pekins weigh between 8 - 12.25 pounds.
Those ducks need a good bath, and a full external examination for any sign of external parasites, Bumblefoot or anything unordinary.
They’re already getting more time outside today with me then I think they have the whole 5 weeks they’ve been alive! They’ve already started following my ducks around so I’m hoping they warm up to me and will go in there little pool soon!Feed them good and give them outside time and you’ll see a big transformation. They are adorable. ❤ I think they are Pekins looking closely at their bill color
