Is it possible to buy full sized silkie eggs for my hens to hatch? I'm not really interested in breeding or showing, I just love the way they look...just not the pint size. Thanks.

They're Are several breeders online that sell silkie eggs.. but what do you mean not the pint size?? As I understand (I could be wrong) but I've read silkies are a true bantam without a larger counter part. I raise silkies myself but I've always been told they are true bantams. . Like I said I could be wrong but I've
never seen their larger counter part if their is one??
Here is a article about this. Hope this helps

Silkies are bantams, there is no large fowl silkie. They are not however, small like most bantams but tend to be in between, so to speak.

Thanks. I was just curious. I have a bantam rooster right now who is adorable but I am always scared I'm going to step on him. I love the way silkies look but am not interested in anymore small birds.
