Fully resolving vent gleet??

she had been laying sporadically and the eggs were perfect shape just slightly thin shelled.
feathers seem less bogged down with discharge
The only new changes I’ve made are changing from oyster shell to gastric grit which they seem to love whereas they ignore the oyster shell
I’m interested to know why it doesn’t sound like vent gleet, I’ve struggled to find any other description for what she’s been dealing with?
day I took her to the vet and they diagnosed Salpingitis, she was bleeding from her vent with a slight prolapse after laying
for a couple of days it was clear like egg white and she’d had a broken soft shell egg.
Can you get some photos of her, her vent and of her poop?
Is her crop empty first thing in the morning before she eats/drinks?
This is why it's easier if you start your own thread LOL
Photos? What does the poop look like?

I am assuming that "Gastric Grit" is crushed granite or flint that is an Insoluble grit used in the Gizzard to help process foods.

Oyster Shell is a soluble "grit" that is used to supplement Calcium in the diet.
Laying hens need both, so make them available free choice.

Discharge was Clear for a few days - hard to tell if you are saying if was like she had a broken soft shell egg or she did have a soft shell egg break - I would expect a discharge if there was a broken egg - sometimes that can cause infection.

I see no mention of a bad or yeasty odor - Vent Gleet is a yeast/fungal infection and has a distinct odor. Vent Gleet is generally white in color and pasty. Often there is a slow or sour crop that accompanies Vent Gleet. A hen can prolapse due to a number of things - the bleeding is concerning, so it's good that vet gave her a round of antibiotics and de-wormed her as well. Worms can cause bloody stools as well. (so can a severe case of Vent Gleet)

Here is an update on her healing. Swelling is way down as compared to before. Now just working on that darn trickle......
Glad the swelling is going down and she seems to be feeling better.
I hope she recovers soon.
