As we discovered 3 weeks ago on our rooster fetching trip...

Louisiana has the worst roads in the US. They are weirdly orange instead of black with a rough texture, they bounce you around constantly for no discernible reason (my butt still remembers it), and they are narrow even on the highway.
The speed limits are too high for the road conditions, and everyone seems extra mad (probably because of their butts).
The 10 through the Afatcheelaya (no I don't remember how to spell it) was the worst!

I dont know of the "orange" roadways, other stuff yeah. Mad is probably either from the heat or the vehicle in front going too slow
