Fun Facts We Didn't Need To Know

Had. Lost him about 18 most ago. They're fairly short-lived in captivity, 4-5 years.
My DIL had one that would cross the room, climb up on the couch, walk across the couch, and bite a chunk out of my thigh. Well, he only did it once. He survived his flight back across the room and thereafter was not allowed out of his cage if I was home (the kids were living with me at the time). Unpleasant little bugger. I actually thought he was cute and charming prior to that incident.

I think hedgies are kinda neat, but I personally like rats better as pets
Had hamsters and a guinea pig once. I like putting hamsters in exercise balls and letting them roll around and making the cats nuts, but we have stairs now, so not a good idea. The gp was a male and really stunk. Won't do that again. :sick Rats are smart, or maybe clever is a better word. Would be fun to train one, I bet.

One of the kids in my 4H group had one that was trained to sit on her shoulder while she walked around. Only downfall was he wasn't 100% potty trained
