Fun Hatchery Surprise! - What breeds?

What hatchery did they come from?

Those aren't Mille Fluer d'Uccle. They don't have feathered legs, and they appear to be large fowl.
ETA: at least the bird in this photo is not. Maybe one in the top photo? Does it have feathered legs?

Do any of the Mille Fleur have feathered legs?

I am sorry it took awhile to get back here. We had some bad weather and I forgot about fun for a bit. All is well now.

These came from Cackle hatchery. Thanks for pointing out the Millie Fleur although I am a little disappointed. You are right. Nothing has feathered feet except for the Brahmas.

I got the hatchery surprise from Cackle too--something I will certainly get again next year!

I bet you have a much better idea now about some of your birds.

Cackle doesn't have Campine--so look at the comb, I bet it's a Buttercup.

All my orange/red birds like yours seem to be growing out into Red Broilers. I think I got 10 of them--though I gave a few to friends.

I think I see some Lakenvelder too.

Numbers 4 and 5 in the close ups are definitely Easter Eggers, probably number 2 also because of the white on his face

I hope I didn't get a huge load of EE. There were two orders. Selected and Surprise. We kept the 30 banded so I would learn to recognize the ones I actually selected. All of the EE's that wear bands have greyish tones to them...and beards. When we did our big sort, I found 4 others like them and labeled them EE.

The close-up pics have exact matches (unlike the EE) in groups of 2 or 4 except for pic 2. Pic 2 were the only close-up wearing bands until the big sort. I am fairly sure those are my layers, (Australorps) and I am pretty sure only ONE is a hen. Heh, go figure. I have no idea about the others.

I will be getting it again too! Maybe even just before fall. It is just too fun. My only problem, which makes me nervous, is having so many that I don't know who is who or if any are missing. I am used to brooding around 12-20 at a time and head counting twice a day.

Thanks for the names! I will look them up.
