Fun in the Run

I've found they actually enjoy perching on shorter things during the day. Mine like to sit on the grazing frame that is about 7" off the ground. I had two perches in the run, one high and one low, and they only perched on the higher one in the evening when it was about time to go to bed.

Mine like to perch/sit on a log that is about a foot off the ground. I put "legs" on it.

I do have an old landscape timber actually that is quite rotted stacked on rocks and staked in place with two pieces of rebar. It's in the right side and is about 6ft long and the top side sits about 10 inches off the soil.
