Funky Eye

We have a White Rock ChickenLittle over here that had issues with her eye after a few days after we got her. I treated it with eye drops and one day noticed that a little fluff was in her eye so I carefully plucked the it out. She s had a quirky eye ever since but a few months ago it started bulging and turning into different shapes and colors. She is an adult. She has been blind in that eye for pry a year and this is what the result is:

If it's been like that for a year likely it had been injured somehow and she's blind in that eye.

Wyorp Rock, that's exactly what I said before. She's blind in that eye and she had a feather stuck in it as a chick

It is fairly common to have a hen who becomes blinded by pecking in the flock. Most of them do well if they are in a familiar environment and know where to get the food and water. It may change color over time. If her eye bulges out more or she seems to be in pain, you may need to see a vet. There could be some buildup of infection or scar tissue behind the eye. Occasionally if one eye gets injured or diseased, there may be a tendency for the other eye to become inflamed and diseased, and the injured eye should be removed. This is called sympathetic ophthalmia.
